Section 1 - Indiana is, mostly, a very flat state. But this section of the Cedar Canyon has the added attraction of views produced by a 70 foot elevation difference between the creek bed and the plateau where, almost every Sunday morning, we shoot skeet and trap, and have a 14 position rifle and pistol range open to members and their guests. 3D archery shoots take place in both sections 1 and 2 from time to time, and are exciting to all who participate! The northern boundary of this section partly follows a stream that feeds Cedar Creek. In this part of our property there are 4 to 5 miles of hiking trails that both traverse the bottomlands and climb the cliffs.
Welcome to the Izaak Walton League of Fort Wayne. We are located in the northern part of Allen County, with our Chapter House in the center of Perry Township, a thousand feet west of the intersection of Griffin and Hollopeter roads. Drive north on Auburn Road from Fort Wayne. After crossing the Cedar Creek, continue following Auburn Road north until it reaches Hollopeter Road. Turn west (left). When you enter Section 1 and reach our Chapter House, sign in as a guest and have a look around! |
